About the Event
Adho Mukha Śavāsana (down dog), Urdhva Muka Śavāsana (up dog), and Uttana Shishosana (puppy pose) are considered "beginner" poses. However, they are intricate and may cause harm if you're not properly aligned. Wrist, shoulder, elbow, and/or ankle pain while practicing these poses are warning signs that you may be out of alignment.
This workshop explores how limb length, body type, height, and hyper extending might be getting in the way of feeling comfortable in your dog poses! Modifications will be demonstrated and practiced for each asana (pose).
Props: blanket and 2 yoga blocks (books, 4" in height, may be substituted for blocks).
